Our story
She of the Lotus is born from a deep longing for a softer world, one that honors the feminine.
With a quiet intention behind each dress, we hope to offer a return: to slower rhythms, to embodiment, to the gentle cycles that exist within nature and within ourselves.
Our process is guided by care, for the hands that create, for the earth that provides, and for the woman who wears it.
What we make
The essence of our brand is an offering.
A gentle opening to slow the pace, to step outside, and let the world meet you again. To see with a sense of wonder, to return, again and again, to your own self. To shape a life, and a wardrobe, that reflects not only who you are, but who you are becoming.
She of the Lotus is a gentle return to the sacred act of adornment, to dress with intention, and to see yourself in a softer, more luminous light.
"To me, there is something profoundly transformative in the act of adornment. The way a garment can shift how we move, how we feel, and how we meet the world. Wearing a dress, especially one of delicate silk, becomes a kind of gentle medicine."
A love story
Janne’s story
Guided by an early love for creating and giving shape to what I felt within, I drifted from my creative core for a time during adolescence. It became a tender, uncertain season of becoming, a season of searching, both within and without, for belonging, of not quite knowing where I stood, and of slowly learning what it means to grow into womanhood.
My time in India became a turning point. Something within me cracked open. Surrounded by colour, craft, and an unapologetic devotion to beauty, I felt something ancient awaken within me. It was a deep remembering, a return to creativity, to beauty, and to the part of myself that had always been there. Colour returned to my life, and with it, the first seeds of what is now unfolding.
My journey into womanhood continues to unfold. It reveals my creative force and invites me to bring into the world what I have long held within. It teaches me how to soften, even in a world that can feel harsh, and how to transform pain into beauty. In many ways, it mirrors the journey of the lotus, rooted deep in dark soil before rising into bloom.
What I am devoted to creating is an intimate space within the world, a place where we can return to the soft hymn of the earth, remember who we are, and belong.
